My Friday Favorite this week is a book I just finished:
This book was absolutely beautiful. I had a kind of rough week last week, and finished this book about halfway through. It seriously made my insides feel all warm and cozy, like I’d just been wrapped up in a huge, soft blanket. It made me think a lot too. I thought a lot about the judgments I make about other people, both those who look like everyone else, and those who appear a little different.
The book is about a 10-year old boy with a serious facial deformity (for lack of a better word) who attends public school for the first time. It is a story about his tragedies and triumphs and it touched my spirit in a way that just made me feel happy.
It sounds cheesy, but it’s true.
Read it. You won’t regret it.
