A few weeks ago, I wrote about some products that I was excited to try. And I’ve been using them pretty consistently so I figured it was time to share my thoughts!
I am absolutely loving this product! I’ve never taken care of my lips very well, but I have vowed to do better, and this lip exfoliant does just the trick. It does a great job exfoliating without being too harsh, and the maracuja oil also adds some moisture back into your lips at the same time. That being said, you still need to follow your exfoliation with some moisturizer, and I’ve found that this is perfect:
I exfoliate with the Tarte exfoliant a few nights a week and follow it up with the C.O. Bigelow Balm, and my lips are amazingly-smooth the next morning! I’ve found that I’ve been using a lot less Chapstick since starting this lip-care routine, and my lips look a lot nicer overall.
Now, I have to say that I’ve seen lots of homemade lip exfoliant recipes on Pinterest, and I’m curious to see how they hold up compared to the Tarte product. If they’re just as good, then there’s obviously no need to spend $16.00. So I may give some of those recipes a try just to compare. I’ll let you know what I think!
In any case, these products have really made a difference for my lips and I definitely recommend them!
I must admit, this product has really surprised me! For $9.99, I didn’t have very high expectations. But as it turns out, I really, really like it! It corrects dark circles and brightens the eye area really well. It is also supposed to correct puffiness, but I can’t say I’ve noticed a difference in that. Overall, though, it’s awesome! One complaint: I don’t love the roller ball applicator. But really, that’s a minor issue.
Now, if I had to choose, do I love it as much as my Mally Perfect Prep Under Eye Brightener? No. But it is a lot less expensive and I think it is an amazing buy! I’ve actually been applying my Mally Perfect Prep and then a little of the L’Oreal Visible Lift on top of that, and the combination is an amazing one, two punch for my eyes!
I’ve noticed that, when I’m applying it by itself, the L’Oreal takes a little less time to apply than the Mally Perfect Prep. Not that either take a ton of time, but I’ve found that if I’m in a really big rush, the L’Oreal Visible lift goes on and blends in quicker and so I’ll reach for that.
So if you are looking for something less pricey that works really well, this is definitely the product for you!
Have you tried these out? Are there other products you are loving right now? Drop a line and let me know!
Have a fantastic Monday!
