You may or may not have noticed that I’ve been AWOL this week. There’s a lot going on—family visiting, celebrating an anniversary, and just plain enjoying time with my sweet kiddos. My biggest little man is going to be starting kindergarten in a few weeks, and I’m painfully aware of how quickly he is growing up, as all my children are! So we are soaking in these last few moments of summer before he’s off to “big boy school.”
But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy working on projects! And I’m excited to share those with you.
Also, this just happened:
JoAnn was just having a sale on Simplicity patterns: $1 a piece. It was an amazing deal, and I went a little crazy! As a point of pride, I NEVER pay full price for patterns, and this is how. I wait for a good sale and then stock up on everything I might ever want to make!
I can’t wait to try my hand at one of these blouses.
And I was SUPER lucky enough to snag up the very last of these patterns. Yeah, the whole city is now sold out of these. I also got the fabric to make my sweet niece an Elsa costume for Halloween. I can’t deny, I’m a little nervous about the difficulty-level of this pattern but we’ll see how it goes.
And yes. I bought this. For me. Don’t ask me why, but I’ve gotten my heart set on making a Regency gown for myself. I don’t know when this will happen. But it will happen.
So there you have it! I’m not gone for good, I promise! Just shuffling things around a bit until school starts and we get back into more of a routine. I hope that you’re enjoying these last days of summer (or the first days of school, whatever the case may be!)
